Love Is In The Air: Valentines Day Outfit

Ivory Corset Dress Valentines Day Outfit Idea - All White Outfit Ideas

As you all know, Valentines day is fast approaching, some people call it ‘Love day” and regard it as the most romantic day of the year! But just as many people may coin it with the term “Single’s Awareness Day” or think it’s absolutely cringeworthy.

But either way, I am sure you can all see that it is the perfect excuse to dress up and get pretty, and if you can’t let me convince you! The best part is you don’t even need a beau to enjoy the day and get all dolled up, you can opt to celebrate galentines style date night with the girls or why not take yourself out on a date and spoil yourself absolutely rotten with tons of self love (and wine)!

So without further ado, let’s jump into this cute, flirty valentines day look that you can emanate and I promise it is very simple to achieve! Keep reading for details on dress, shoes, accessories, make and perfume to achieve a pretty aesthetic that is perfect for valentines day. (The outfit link will be in the conclusion.)

Puff Sleeve Corset Ivory Mini Dress with White Croc Block Heels

All In The Colour…

First things first the dress! I opted for an ivory puff sleeve corset mini dress.

Valentine’s day is typically associated with pinks and reds. However, I went for ivory because it is less stereotypical, so you will stand out in the sea of red and pink.

It is also less intense than pure white, which could be too intimidating, especially if you choose to eat anything with tomato, and the more scared you are, the more likely you will spill sauce on your dress.

Ivory also still exudes the same sophistication and cleanliness of white, and also, you won’t clash with the background of any of your beautiful Instagram pictures! It also allows you to style it with many colours, though I chose white to keep the angelic aesthetic.

Corset & Puff Sleeve Details

Details Details Details…

The white ruffle puff short sleeve details on this dress are the perfect feature to add a touch of feminine glamour, and they make you feel so girly.

The dress is a form-fitting body-con; however, the corset gives it some structure and assists in accentuating your figure and also hiding any food babies, both good things concerning dinner dates! The full mock hook and eye front fastening with the hidden zip means you don’t have to undo the corset, so it is super easy to get into.

Beautiful in Bardot…

I love this off the shoulder neckline because it adds a delicately flirty touch to the dress; it’s not too revealing but reveals enough. The bust cups for the boob are flattering but a little small, so I would consider sizing up if you have a bigger bust.

Lets Talk Shoes & Bags

I opted for a white croc print bag and white croc print shoes; you may not be able to see the croc details in the picture. As mentioned above, I picked white because I wanted to maintain that angelic aesthetic. You can opt for a bag or shoe of literally any colour as the dress is basically a blank canvas, so feel free to go as bold as you want! You could even take the opportunity to incorporate the stereotypical ‘love’ colours: red and pink and really get the romantic feels flowing!

I chose a long-handled flap top bag because I wanted a bag that was easy to open, not bulky but also one that didn’t disturb the frilly puff sleeves of the dress. This bag’s handles fit perfectly over and under without ruining the aesthetic.

I opted for a barely-there style heel to show off my freshly pedicured feet, and that my Pedi matched my mani, of course! I also chose block heels as they are comfortable to walk in for more extended periods and are a more manageable heel to wear for heel-wearing beginners.

Jewellery, Hair & Makeup

As you can see in the video (and the other photos) I chose to not wear jewellery. The neckline was quite exposed which already brings attention to the cleavage and I personally did not want to wear a necklace and draw any more attention to it because of the nature of the venue I was attending, however if you want to wear jewellery I would recommend a simple pendent, so that the frills and the puff sleeves remain the centre of attention as well as your beautiful face!

I kept the hair and makeup very simple for the exact same reason as above and also because I wanted a subtle but feminine make up look. Therefore I opted for the pink eyeshadow and the nude lip and a simple middle parting in the hair.

Perfume: Lancôme La nuit trésor & JPG “La Belle” Le Parfum

Lets Discuss Scent…

Lastly, let’s talk perfume; no outfit is complete without perfume; it seals your whole look together and is the final puzzle piece to achieving your entire aesthetic.

I chose JPG’s La Belle Le Parfum and layered it with Lancôme’s La Nuit Trésor. The two are pretty heavy hitters, and I would classify them as seductive. I chose these two because I wanted to juxtapose the angelic aesthetic and add an air of mystery!

That’s All For Now!
